Prosecutors pointed out that a judge had ordered Margera to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation. His wife, Dannii Marie, was in the courtroom to support him, but no other family members were reportedly present at the hearing.

After his substance abuse evaluation, Margera will return to the Justice Center on Wednesday for another hearing. The media personality is expected tomorrow or Wednesday, with his lawyer Michael T. Van Der Veen saying TMZ:

“Bam is doing very well and has passed all drug and alcohol tests for the past year or more. His professional life is going well and we look forward to his release so he can continue his development.”

The former professional skateboarder’s problems with the law began in 2023, when he was charged of attacking his brother Jesse and threatening his family. The case escalated when he fled from the police.

Margera eventually gave up his escape and turned himself in to authorities, where he negotiated a deal. After pleading guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct, was convicted on 6 months probation in June.

The media star seemed to be getting out of trouble until September 16, when he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was also charged with reckless driving and other related charges.

Two months before his DUI and probation drama, The Blast reported that Margera had won a major legal victory. He and his ex-partner Nicole Boyd had been arguing in court over the legality of their marriage.

However, a judge ruled in Margera's favor in July and agreed that his marriage to Boyd was not legal US Law. The legality of their marriage came up during the couple's bitter custody battle over their son, Phoenix.

Boyd claimed their 2013 marriage was legal, but Margera insisted it was not. In his argument, he stated that a ceremony took place in Iceland; however, it was not legalized because it failed to receive a US Marriage certificate.

After the judge's decision, Margera boasted about his victory while criticizing his ex-partner for making him waste money on legal fees. “Nicole knew from the beginning that we were not married; that was common knowledge and not new information,” he insisted.

“Of course I won because we were never married, but paying a handful of dollars for a four-day trial and pretending she didn't know about it is a time-consuming hassle for me, but I'm used to it,” Margera added.

Boyd was unhappy with the judge's decision and considered appealing. Her lawyer, David Glass, said in an interview that she believed her marriage in Iceland was valid and should not be overlooked.
