Cristiano Ronaldo's partner admitted she was “so relieved” when the Portuguese superstar moved to Saudi Arabia and said she “really wants to leave” Manchester.

Georgina Rodriguez, 30, began dating Ronaldo in 2016 after they met at a Gucci retail store in Madrid.

At the time, Ronaldo's time at Spanish giants Real Madrid was coming to an end before he finally moved to Juventus in 2018.

The football icon stayed in Turin for three seasons before making an emotional return to Manchester United in the 2021 summer transfer window.

It was a turbulent time, however, and his contract was terminated just days after he gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan in which he took aim at Red Devil boss Erik ten Hag and United's senior management.

Like her partner, Rodriguez didn't seem to be able to get out of Manchester fast enough.

In the latest season of her hit Netflix reality show “I Am Georgina,” Rodriguez revealed how excited she was when she learned that Ronaldo was going somewhere else.

“When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester,” said Rodriguez.

Rodriguez added: “I knew something big was waiting for us and we were highly motivated. I was very happy to come to Saudi Arabia.”

However, the transition to life in Saudi Arabia was not smooth for the couple and their children.

“It all happened so fast,” Rodriguez said.

“I had some ups and downs at the beginning because we had never lived in a hotel for so long before. There were days when I didn't want anyone to see me, but overall I was very excited.”

When Ronaldo first arrived in Saudi Arabia, he and his family were accommodated in the chic Kingdom Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.

The suite spanned two separate floors on the top floor of the Kingdom Tour, one of the tallest buildings in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo's Kingdom Suite was one of 17 rooms at the hotel occupied by his entourage, which included other family members, friends and security staff.

It is estimated that Ronaldo's hotel bills for his family and entourage amounted to over £250,000.

Since moving to Saudi Arabia in December 2022, Ronaldo has scored 69 goals in 76 games for Al-Nassr in all competitions.

Ronaldo also helped the club win the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.
