Damon Dash talks about pictures of him with Jay-Z and J. Lo at a Diddy party

Damon Dash analyzes the resurfaced pictures of him with Jay Z And Jennifer Lopez at a party of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

“I haven't been to those parties,” Dash, 53, said in an Instagram Live on Sunday, Sept. 22. “I went to one in the Hamptons with Aaliyah about 20 years ago and that was it. But there were a lot of people there, you know what I mean?”

Dash, who dated Aaliyah from 2000 until her death in 2001, mentioned the parties again later in the video.

“Nothing happens in the Hamptons. That was the day I [Aaliyah],” he said. “We were hanging out there and then we left and this happened. This was 20 years ago, this wasn't in LA or Miami. I know they're going to play games with these pictures. It's all good, I don't really care.”

After Diddy, 54, was arrested earlier this month, old photos of Diddy posing with Dash, Jay-Z, Lopez and other celebs began circulating online. (Lopez, 55, dated Diddy between 1999 and 2001.)

When addressing the allegations against Diddy, Dash called the situation “shocking.”

“People sit there and watch others do things that might be immoral, but until they get caught, nobody says anything,” he said. “Whether it's illegal or immoral for me, I just snap, I don't wait for people to get caught. I don't wait for someone else to say they're doing something wrong.”

Dash continued, “If something goes against my morals, then I move on. I might choose to give up money or give up a relationship or a certain type of financial opportunity just because my morals… mean more to me than that.”

Diddy was accused of misconduct in late 2023 after his ex-girlfriend Cassie He was named in a sexual assault lawsuit. The lawsuit was settled out of court within a day. Since then, several other people have made similar allegations against Diddy. He has denied all of the allegations.

Months later, the Department of Homeland Security raided two of his homes. Diddy was arrested earlier this month and was twice denied bail. He was remanded in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center pending trial.

A day after his arrest, a 14-page indictment was published alleging that he had “abused, threatened and coerced women and other people around him.”

“We are disappointed by the U.S. Attorney's decision to continue what we believe is an unjustified prosecution of Mr. Combs,” Diddy's attorney said Marc Agnifilo told We weekly after the arrest. “Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, a self-made entrepreneur, a loving family man and a proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and advocating for the advancement of the black community.”

Agnifilo continued, “He is an imperfect human being, but he is not a criminal. To Mr. Combs' credit, he has been consistently cooperative with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you know all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man who has nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
