At one point during the talk show Today Host Craig Melvin showed a photo of Bublé's family, including 6-year-old Vida, wearing a shirt from Death Row Records, Snoop's record label. “What's the backstory here?” he asked.

The “Everything” singer said: “When I first wanted to meet Snoop, out of the blue she said, 'Daddy, are you going to sing with Snoop Dogg?' I said, 'Yeah, I'm going to do something.'”

He then asked how his daughter knew who Snoop was and revealed that her teacher reads the rapper’s affirmations every morning Snoop Dogg's Dog Landan animated series starring the “Gin and Juice” singer as Bow Wizzle.

“And every morning, the kindergarten class would listen to Uncle Snoop,” he continued. Bublé said he showed Snoop a video that Vida had made for him. “And honestly, he's such a great… he's a deep, great guy. It was like a great bond. We got along well. He's the best. We're all, we're all family on this show.”

Bublé is also the father of Noah (11), Elias (8) and Cielo (2), whom he has with his wife Luisana Lopilato.

The singer told his Agree co-stars in a Sept. 18 Instagram reel that while he was “so nervous” to meet Snoop, the rapper ended up being “so amazing.” “I was so excited to meet you and you were better than I ever thought you would be,” he gushed.

Snoop told PEOPLE exclusively about his relationship with Bublé earlier this month.

“Who would have thought? But I'm known for getting together with people you wouldn't expect me to get together with, and it just feels like Bublé and I are lost brothers,” he said of being “like brothers from another mother.”

“We love the same things, we agree to disagree, and it's just wonderful to have found someone like him in my career so far who shares the same views on life and with whom I can build a sympathy and a bond on screen and in private life.”
