Tupelo police arrest man accused of sex crimes against children

Tupelo police have arrested a man for alleged sex crimes against a minor.

Last Tuesday, officials issued an arrest warrant for 57-year-old Pepe Morales on two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 14 and one count of groping. The warrant was based on a 2023 report.

No further details were disclosed about the nature of the abuse.

Morales is being held on $50,000 bail issued by Lee County District Court and his case is currently pending trial.
