Mercedes Moné can't wait to smoke weed and watch “Mr. McMahon” on Netflix

During her time in the WWE as Sasha Banks, Mercedes Moné – in her role – referred to Vince McMahon as her “best friend.” Although McMahon was not yet with the company at the time, received a thank you post by Mercedes when her WWE contract expired in early 2023.

But she also clashed creatively with McMahon. This made her final years in WWE frustrating and apparently led to her and Naomi leaving WWE in 2022 and eventually leaving the company. Her not getting time to film her role in Disney+'s The Mandalorian was probably also Vince's fault.

Given the seemingly complicated relationship, how does the former boss and current CEO plan to use the new Netflix documentary series? Mr McMahonwhich chronicles the life, career and various scandals of the disgraced former WWE Chairman? She revealed the answer to this question today (September 24) while doing press for AEW Grand Slam.

In an interview with New York sports radio station WFAN Sports Radio, Moné was asked what the “buzz” was about Mr McMahon behind the scenes at AEW. She replied:

“So, I haven't talked to anybody. I'm staying in my dressing room, I'm staying in my lane. But all I know – I'm going to grab a blunt, I'm going to grab some wine and I'm going to watch some Netflix. I can't wait.”

Mercedes, who said she had not seen McMahon’s statement in the documentary series, was asked about this “blunt” issue and stated:

“I'm Snoop Dogg's cousin. It's in my blood. It runs through my veins.”

She also said:

“I'm a professional wrestler and THC helps me a lot with my inflammation – and my inspiration. It helps me recover.”

No matter what state you are in when you watch, all six episodes of Mr McMahon will be released tomorrow (September 25) on Netflix.
