Shreveport felon arrested for multiple weapons and drug offenses

SHREVEPORT, LA –

Serious criminal arrested with drugs and firearms

On September 20, 2024, at approximately 12:14 a.m., Shreveport Police Department officers observed a blue Ford Crown Victoria fail to signal while turning west from Monkhouse Drive onto Hollywood Avenue. Officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as a 32-year-old male. Roderick McKnight.

After confirming that McKnight had an outstanding warrant out of Caddo Parish, officers searched the vehicle and discovered a stolen firearm and narcotics. Further investigation revealed that McKnight, a convicted felon, was in illegal possession of the firearm.

McKnight was taken into custody and now faces numerous charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of stolen property and drug offenses.
