Free fight – Nassourdine Imavov against Jared Cannonier

Frenchman Nassourdine Imavov from Dagestan is facing the most important fight of his career.

The 29-year-old, who has a 14-4 record so far in his professional career, will face submission expert Brendan Allen this weekend in a main event that serves as the co-main event in the UFC's return to Paris – and he knows a win over Allen, who is undefeated in his last seven fights, would move him above the fourth spot he currently occupies in the UFC's official middleweight rankings.

To win, Imavov will likely have to overcome Allen's tricky grappling technique and try to move on to his sixth career fight by knockout or TKO – a result he achieved last June when he finished former title contender Jared Cannonier in the fourth round of their fight in Louisville, Kentucky.
