McLennan County teacher arrested for attempting to establish inappropriate relationship with student: affidavit

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – A McLennan County educator was arrested for attempting to have an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to an affidavit.

Todd Wyatt Bogan, 57, is accused of attempting to establish an inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student, the document says.

During a forensic interview, the victim told police that Bogan had “taken preparatory steps toward the crime of inappropriate teacher-student relationship,” the affidavit states.

According to the document, the victim told police that Bogan was trying to initiate a sexual relationship with her through his statements.

Police questioned Bogan and he admitted to making “inappropriate sexual comments to the child in the hope of having a sexual relationship,” the document said.

Bogan is currently in the McLennan County Jail and his bail has not yet been set.
