2 wanted suspects arrested by Springfield police

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — Springfield police have arrested two suspects wanted on warrants.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, 22-year-old Gianni Gamble and 27-year-old Luis Semprit were arrested at a home in the 0-100 block of Alderman Street.

Semprit was wanted for several crimes that allegedly occurred in Springfield on June 9, June 29 and July 3. He was charged with six counts of assault on a person over 60 or disabled, assault with a dangerous weapon, breaking and entering a building in broad daylight (a felony), criminal damage to property valued less than $1,200, strangulation or suffocation, threatening to commit a crime and three counts of violating an abuse prevention order.

Gamble was taken into custody on a federal warrant out of Vermont and turned over to the FBI after being registered as a subtenant.
