Mandy Moore gives birth to a girl, her third child

Mandy Moore, who played a mother of three on This is Us, now has her own personal Big Three. And they're all three years old or younger.

Moore announced her third pregnancy earlier this year with a sweet photo of her older sons, 3-year-old August “Gus” Harrison Goldsmith and nearly 2-year-old Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett Goldsmith. The “Dr. Death” star has all three children with her husband Taylor Goldsmith.

The 40-year-old actress announced the birth of her third child on Instagram on September 25 with a photo taken by her doula. She added this caption: “Lou is here! Louise Everett Goldsmith was born happy, healthy, fast and right on time for Virgo season. She is our absolute dream girl and her big brothers are already as doting on her as we are. We are eternally grateful for our family of five (and our own big three) and are enjoying every moment of this special time.”

When she became pregnant for the second time, Moore explained why she had decided against an epidural during her first pregnancy – and why she would have to do so in the future as well.

“My platelets are too low for an epidural,” Moore said in an interview with TODAY Parents in July 2022. The actress mentioned that she had an unmedicated birth with her older son, Gus, for the same reason.

“It was horrible,” Moore recalls. “But I can do it again. I can climb that mountain again. I wish medication was an option – just the idea of it being on the table is so nice. But we're just going to keep going like we did last time.”

It seems that Moore has successfully climbed this mountain again.

During an appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna in October 2023, Moore opened up about what it's like being a mother of two, saying that although it's been a “wild” experience for her, she would still like to welcome more children in the future.

Looks like she'll get the chance to enjoy the sweet chaos that her “big three” will bring!
