Secret service agent allegedly sexually harassed Harris campaign staffer

According to a report, a Secret Service agent is accused of sexually harassing an aide to Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to RealClearPolitics, which cited multiple Secret Service sources, the male agent allegedly tried to force himself on the female agent last week in a hotel room in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where he and several campaign staffers had been sent to organize a campaign event.

As the political website reported, Secret Service agents and Harris staffers had a drink over dinner after finishing their work for the day and then retired to the staffer's hotel room.

Once in the room, the heavily intoxicated officer allegedly tried to force himself on the woman and groped her in front of the numerous people in the room, according to the report.

Staff escorted the agent out of the room and he was reportedly so drunk that he passed out in the hallway, RealClearPolitics reported.

He was summoned to Secret Service headquarters in Washington DC on Monday to meet with agency investigators.

“The Secret Service's Office of Professional Responsibility is investigating allegations of employee misconduct,” the agency spokesperson said in a statement to RealClearPolitics.

“The Secret Service has the highest standards for its personnel. The employee has been placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.”
