Mother and her two children in critical condition after domestic violence incident in Bridgeport

A mother and her two children were involved in a “brutal” domestic violence incident in Bridgeport on Wednesday, police said.

According to the Detective Bureau, all three victims were brutally attacked and suffered blunt force trauma.

It happened around 10 a.m. on Main Street.

All three victims, ages 6 and 4, and their mother, a 33-year-old Bridgeport woman, were taken to the hospital and are reportedly in critical condition.

The suspect was identified as Abdulrahim Sulaiman, 38, of Bridgeport. He was arrested and faces charges.

According to police, there is no ongoing threat to the community.
