Arsenal advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after a 5-1 win against League One side Bolton.

Declan Rice opened the scoring before Ethan Nwaneri made it 3-0 with a brace just before half-time. The visitors managed to pull away but Raheem Sterling, with his first goal in red and white, and Kai Havertz rounded off a good night for Mikel Arteta's side.

In addition to the first appearances for Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, there were also debuts for 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter and right-back Josh Nichols, as well as substitutions for Maldini Kacurri and Ismael Kabia.
