Butler County man allegedly set fire to another man

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) – A Butler County man has been indicted by a grand jury on several counts after he was accused of dousing another man with gasoline and setting him on fire.

According to court documents, Seath King is charged with attempted murder, aggravated arson and aggravated assault in connection with the Aug. 13 incidents in Middletown.

The criminal complaint states that the fire was β€œan intentional act and not the result of an accident.”

Records indicate that King was with the victim working on a bicycle in a garage when he poured gasoline on him and then set the victim on fire with a lighter and a 2×4 piece of wood.

The victim had to be flown to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of burns to his upper body.

King is being held in the Butler County Jail on $700,000 bail.
