Man arrested after leaving bags containing firearms at police station

A man was arrested after delivering bags containing multiple firearms and ammunition to the Farmersville police station on Thursday.

The man, later identified as Christopher Cain, entered the police station and told staff that he was leaving firearms outside.

He then pointed to two black bags outside and left the building before officers arrived.

Officers spotted Cain a few blocks away, told them he was carrying a firearm, and ran.

He was arrested after a short foot chase.

In addition, a firearm and three loaded high-capacity magazines were seized.

They said he told them there were more weapons and explosives in a bag near the 400 block of N. Brundage Avenue.
