Four students injured in Dothan school bus accident

DOTHAN, Alabama (WTVY) – Four students were injured in an accident involving a Dothan school bus Wednesday afternoon.

According to Dothan City Schools, the incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. at the intersection of Cherokee Avenue and Osceola Street when a vehicle struck the side of the bus.

At the time of the accident, the bus was transporting students from Dothan High School and Carver 9th Grade Academy.

The four students injured in the accident were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for minor, non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver was uninjured and all other students were evaluated on-site by medical personnel and taken home on another school bus.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the crash.
