How to pre-order the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection | Gaming | Entertainment

The latest PS5 is set to launch in late 2024, just in time for Christmas – and if you're already impatiently waiting for the PS5 Pro – or more importantly, the limited 30th Anniversary Collection – here's what you need to know.

The PS5 Pro was announced on September 10, revealing that it would have a 2TB SSD, a DualSense wireless controller, and a copy of Astro's Playroom pre-installed with every PS5 Pro purchase. Mark Cerny, the video game designer, claimed the new Pro model would have a GPU which has 67% more processing units than the current PS5 console and 28% faster memory.

This also includes more powerful ray tracing and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), an AI-driven upscaling that uses machine learning-based technology to deliver super-sharp image clarity.

PlayStation announced last week that the new 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on the same day, featuring a special limited edition PS5 and PS5 Pro console, as well as new controllers reminiscent of the first PlayStation colors.

You can grab limited edition versions of the PS5 digital console, PS5 Pro, PlayStation Portal, and PS5 controllers on the same day.

Pre-orders for the consoles and accessories open this week. It's going to be a great day for all PlayStation fans, but if you want to know more about pre-ordering, we've put together all the information you need to get your hands on this limited edition console.

Pre-orders for the PS5 Pro and the 30th Anniversary Collection will begin on September 26. You can pre-order the consoles exclusively on the PlayStation Direct website while supplies last.

We don't have an exact time yet when pre-orders will start, but we're guessing it might be around 10am, so set your alarm.

You'll receive a limited edition digital PS5 console, a PS5 Pro anniversary pack, a PlayStation Portal, and PS5 controllers – all in PlayStation's original colors.

Pre-orders for the standard PS5 Pro aren't available anywhere else on the same day. If you want to wait until later in the month – or miss out – you can get the PS5 Pro on October 10th from third-party sites like GAME, Currys and more. This date is still speculative and we'll let you know if the date changes.

Here is a list of the websites where we expect to be able to pre-order the PS5 Pro:

Prices for the PS5 Pro start at £699.99, with the 30th Anniversary pack expected to cost significantly more. The 30th Anniversary Collection will only be available from the PlayStation Direct website, with 12,300 PS5 Pro consoles available. The PS5 Pro will be released on November 7.

If you already have a PS5 (and aren't interested in the new PS5 Pro), Amazon is currently offering deals on rival consoles Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch.
