Emergency crews respond to three-car crash on WV H-1 Freeway near Aiea | Local

AIEA, Hawaii (Island News) – Emergency crews are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the H-1 Freeway near Aiea Wednesday afternoon.

Honolulu Police (HPD) and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) officers were called to an accident on the west side of H-1, just past the Kaonohi Street overpass, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

In the area of ​​the accident, two left lanes of the motorway are closed, causing a significant traffic jam.

The accident reportedly involved several vehicles, including a garbage truck. According to EMS, three people suffered serious injuries in the accident. The injured were only identified as a 43-year-old man, a 40-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.
