Nikki Garcia's twin sister Brie speaks of 'lies' after charges against Artem Chigvintsev are dropped

Nikki Garcia's twin sister Brie Garcia shared a cryptic message about “lies” on Instagram on Wednesday after Artem Chigvintsev was acquitted of domestic violence charges related to his arrest last month.

“The truth always comes out in the end, no matter how hard someone tries to hide it or prevent it,” Brie's post said. “Lies are just a temporary delay of the inevitable.”

Brie's post also revealed that she got the quote from a Facebook group titled “Facebook Resource Page for Moms with Narcissistic Personality Disorder.”

Although the 40-year-old did not mention Chigvintsev by name in her post, the quote about “lies” was shared just hours before her sister's ex broke his silence about the August 29 domestic violence incident.

“I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped,” the “DWTS” alum said in a statement to E! News.

“This was an extremely difficult time for me. I am grateful that the truth has come to light.”

Later in the statement, Chigvintsev, 42, stressed that his “focus has always been and will always be on his and Nikki's four-year-old son Matteo.”

The Russian dancer was arrested for a domestic violence incident that occurred at his home in Napa, California.

Although it has not yet been confirmed whether Nikki was the victim of the incident, a 911 call revealed that she had been involved in an argument with her son's father shortly before the call. Matteo was also present at the time of the argument.

That same day, his lawyer told People that the proud father was “not the primary perpetrator” in the incident. theartemc/Instagram

After Chigvintsev commented on the matter, his lawyer Ilona Antonyan also released a statement to People.

“My understanding of the investigated facts surrounding the incident of 08/29/24 led me to the conclusion from the very beginning that Artem was not the main aggressor,” Antonyan said.

“I believe this would be true even if the burden of proof were based on a preponderance of the evidence, which is the standard of proof in family court.”
