James Gunn's new Superman is on the horizon, with David Corenswet as the titular Man of Steel. The upcoming film pays homage to the unforgettable original Superman, the late Christopher Reeve, through a cameo appearance by his son Will Reeve, who is known for his resemblance to his late father.

Christopher Reeve played the last son of Krypton in four Superman films before a spinal cord injury left him paralyzed from the neck down. Now his son is carrying on his legacy with a meaningful guest appearance as a television reporter in the upcoming SupermanHe was spotted filming in Cleveland. Will's cameo garnered applause from the cast and crew, a hug from Gunn, and supportive comments online.

Reeve has two half-siblings from his father's relationship with Gae Exton, Matthew and Alexandra Reeve, who appear together in the documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve StoryRelease expected on November 1st.

Will was born to Christopher and Dana Reeve on June 7, 1992. He was three years old when his father had the tragic horseback riding accident that changed his life, and eleven when he died. A year and a half later, his mother, who was a non-smoker, succumbed to lung cancer.

According to Bedford & New Canaan Magazine (B&NC Mag), Reeve was taken in by his neighbors at his mother's behest so that he could finish his education where he had begun. He graduated from his mother's alma mater, Middlebury College, where he studied English and American literature.
