Olson had previously served prison sentences for sexual abuse of a child, fleeing and eluding, and wounding a police officer. He had been convicted of multiple capital crimes, cut off his restraints, and fled.

In 1992, he was convicted of prison escape when he escaped from the Michigan Department of Corrections and had other prior convictions.

During his escape, police said, Olson posed as a teenager, gave a young girl alcohol and sexually abused her.

He was released on parole in 2017, but a new arrest warrant was issued in Chesterfield Township for new sexual abuse charges related to allegations of sexual assault of a person with special needs.

According to Fox 13, Olson used various aliases during his stay in Washington and was followed by police for weeks.

“After about a week of looking through over 10 addresses and years of records, I couldn't figure out who this guy was, and that was a clue because I usually figure it out,” Detective Riley Myklebust told Fox 13.

He allegedly used the false name of a Kansas man whose identity had been compromised.

Officials are now making sure he had no victims in Washington. Fox 13 says he was known to frequent karaoke bars and posed as a military man and wealthy investor to approach women with teenage daughters.

According to Fox 13, he was in Issaquah, Downtown Seattle, Puyallup and Olympia and used multiple names such as Josiah, Payton and Nikko, with last names Arb or Cadaa. He also used social media accounts under the names Cadaabug and Caadabug and may have contacted minors through Snapchat.
