Two arrested for theft at Harbor Freight — Neuse News

On September 23, 2024, D-Squad officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Harbor Freight in Kinston. The suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived.

During their investigation, police received information that the suspect's vehicle was immobilized in the area of ​​Sloan Street. Officers quickly located Eddie Mills, 51, of Kinston, and arrested him along with two other individuals. During their investigation, officers identified Mills as one of the shoplifting suspects.

Further investigation led officers to identify 28-year-old Thomas Westcott, also of Kinston, as the second suspect. He was found shortly thereafter in the 400 block of Lewis Lane.

Both Mills and Westcott were arrested and taken to the Lenoir County Jail and charged with the following:
