How to buy a PS5 Pro and the limited 30th Anniversary Edition of the PS5 today

The day has arrived: Sony's PS5 Pro hits stores this morning, along with the limited 30th Anniversary versions of the PS5 Pro, the PS5, the DualSense gamepad and the PlayStation Portal.

Only 12,300 copies of the coveted 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Pro bundle are available, paying homage to the PlayStation's original release date, which was launched on December 3, 1994.

PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle

  • Includes limited edition PS5 Pro console with 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7 in supporting territories, and limited edition matching accessories – DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, DualSense charging station, and a console cover for a disc drive (disc drive sold separately).
  • It also includes a vertical stand and special collectibles:
  • Original PlayStation controller style cable connector housing
  • Four PlayStation Shapes cable ties
  • PlayStation stickers
  • Limited PlayStation poster (1 of 30 possible designs)
  • PlayStation paperclip

A regular PS5 30th Anniversary Bundle will also be available, as well as the regular PS5 Pro ($700), which can also be pre-ordered from participating retailers like Amazon and Target, though these don't appear to be live yet.

The only way to grab one of the 30th Anniversary packs and accessories today is to head over to direct.playstation.com and join the queue there. No doubt many of these will then be put up for sale via third-party websites by individual sellers with large markups. Good luck.

Update: The PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition has now sold out and is currently selling for up to $5,000 on eBay. That number is likely to rise because even at that huge markup, the system is selling faster than you can put it in your cart. Insane.
