Verona police search for suspects accused of breaking into Epic Campus construction sites

VERONA, Wis. (WMTV) – Authorities are searching for two suspects accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of tools from construction sites on the Epic Systems campus in Verona.

A Wisconsin crime alert sent out Thursday said the suspected break-ins occurred between 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, and just after 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Verona police said two suspects and a white Ford truck with a white roof entered the Epic campus and traveled to several construction sites, allegedly stealing tools and damaging property.

According to police reports, surveillance video shows that the truck's license plates were removed prior to the alleged break-ins. Authorities believe the suspect vehicle belongs to an unknown construction site in downtown Madison.

The VPD attempts to identify the license plate of the vehicle using flock cameras. It is noticed that one of the suspects can be seen on the camera wearing a cowboy hat.
