Driver shot in driving aggression on Florida's Turnpike in Orange County, FHP says

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A man driving a Tesla along the Florida Turnpike in Orange County was shot Thursday morning in an incident of driving aggression, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The shooting occurred at about 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes at mile marker 251, near the exits for State Road 417 and Hunter's Creek, the FHP said in a statement.

A gray or silver Volkswagen hatchback was involved in an incident on the road where the shooting occurred. Two bullet holes were subsequently discovered in the Tesla's driver's door, the statement said.

The victim, described by police only as 33 years old, reportedly noticed the damage to his vehicle before realizing he had been shot in the leg. He has since been taken to hospital, the statement said.
