All about Hoda Kotb's suburban New York home

Broadcasting titan Hoda Kotb is leaving the bright lights of Manhattan behind and taking a big step to slow down — but not that far away.

The 60-year-old “TODAY” show co-host traded her busy New York lifestyle for the quiet, suburban charm of Bronxville – a suburb in Westchester County. The TV host is also stepping away from her high-profile role on the morning show to spend more time with her daughters Haley and Hope, marking the start of a new chapter for the beloved journalist.

“I want the kids to feel warm and cozy and a place they want to be in my house,” Hoda said, discussing the big changes on a recent episode of “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” And where could her girls feel more at home than in a sprawling, nearly $2.9 million residence just a short train ride from Manhattan?

Kotb's new suburban paradise — a 4,000-square-foot gem built in 1952 — has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and enough charm to make anyone forget about the madness of the Manhattan skyline, according to Realtor.com, which first reported where it is Residence is stated. According to the Post, the deal closed in April.

Recently renovated by local developers, the home features a chef's kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and even a sun-filled family room, perfect for a getaway with the kids.

At 765 square feet, the master bedroom is a retreat in itself and features an en suite spa bathroom with Calcutta marble tile floors with radiant heat, a heated towel warmer, a skylight and vaulted ceilings, the previous listing says.

But this step is more than just an improvement of the area. It's Hoda's way of giving her daughters the simple, grounded life she longs for them. “It’s all new – new kids, new school, new everything,” Kotb shared, reflecting on the change. “And it's funny because all I could think about was that I want my house to feel warm and cozy… and that's all.”

The Bronxville home features a spacious backyard that Kotb already uses for family dinners under the stars. The property features a bluestone terrace surrounded by colorful gardens where her daughters will have plenty of space to run around. For Kotb, the nearby schools, parks and small-town feel are the perfect place to raise her children.

Representatives for Kotb did not return a message seeking comment as of press time.

The move to Bronxville may have come as a surprise to her legions of fans, but Hoda has been thinking about it for a while. Earlier this year, she teased the change and said she was ready for a “fresh start.” Her words were warm as always.

“When I found this place that I liked, a small town that had everything that could teach my children independence, I said to my children, 'We're replanting.' They say, 'What? We are moving?' I say, 'Yeah, but we're repotting.'”

And as much as Hoda treasured her Manhattan apartment — the place where she began her journey as a mother — this new home symbolizes the future she wants to build for her girls. “We are about to embark on a brand new adventure,” she told her daughters. “We're going to have so much fun. We have new friends and we have old friends too.”

Hoda admitted that leaving her co-host chair behind wasn't easy. In a touching letter to TODAY staff, she confessed: “As I write this, my heart is all over the map. I know I'm making the right decision, but it's a painful decision. And you all are the reason why.”

But for Kotb, what mattered most was time – time to spend with her daughters as they adjusted to their new lives. “I've decided this is the right time to move on,” she told her co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager. “Of course, I had my children late in life, and they deserve a bigger slice of the time I have.”

Still, Hoda won't be disappearing from NBC entirely — she made it clear that she plans to stay “in the family.” But for now, Bronxville's quiet streets and the promise of a slower pace beckon. And as Hoda said best, “This is going to be a great adventure.” Let’s go!”
