Hoda Kotb announced her plans to leave Today show on Thursday, September 26, causing shock among millions of loyal viewers. However, according to an NBC insider, the co-host's exit wasn't a huge surprise to those behind the scenes. “It’s such a tough job in your life,” the insider tells us exclusively Us weekly. “I think the average person understands that morning television is not glamorous. … She wants to focus on her children.” While the source added that Kotb's decision was “wonderful for her,” it was also “a huge blow” to lose such a beloved character on the morning show.
