Foo Fighters Soundside Music Festival gig canceled

The Foo Fighters have canceled a music festival days before the planned event due to controversy surrounding frontman Dave Grohl, who recently admitted to having fathered a child outside of his 21-year marriage.

The rock band said in a brief statement Thursday that it will “no longer perform at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut” this weekend as planned.

“For more information, visit the festival website,” the band said. No reason was given for the cancellation.

A representative for Foo Fighters declined to comment.

The band was scheduled to headline the Soundside Music Festival on Sunday. The festival announced on X that Jack White and Greta Van Fleet will now headline that day. “Unfortunately, Foo Fighters have announced that they will no longer be performing this weekend,” the festival said.
