Louisiana woman accused of filing false police reports

Louisiana State Police have arrested a woman accused of filing false police reports. According to state police, 39-year-old Samantha Williams of Angie was arrested Thursday morning and faces two counts of filing or maintaining false public records. Bogalusa police turned the investigation over to state police in June 2023 when they were made aware that Williams, a city employee, was accused of making numerous complaints to Bogalusa police. According to police, Williams claimed he was the victim of multiple crimes. LSP alleges Williams fabricated claims that she was booked into the Washington Parish Jail. The City of Bogalusa issued the following statement regarding the arrest: “We are aware of the recent arrest of a City of Bogalusa employee. The incident is a personal matter and is unrelated to his duties or responsibilities with the City of Bogalusa.” We cannot provide further details this time as this is an ongoing legal matter. The City of Bogalusa is committed to maintaining a respectful and professional work environment and we will continue to monitor the situation in accordance with our internal policies. “We respect the legal process and will have no further comment at this time.”Thank you for your understanding.”
