Bennington police arrest eight people on drug and conspiracy charges

Eight people were arrested on a variety of charges Thursday after police seized guns and drugs from a home in Bennington. Bennington police executed a search warrant at 527 South Street and took eight people into custody on various charges, most of them drug-related. Three children under the age of 10 were removed from the home and taken to a safe location where they were picked up by family members. During their search, police said they encountered 31-year-old Jordan Feliciano of Connecticut, who was armed with a handgun. Feliciano surrendered to police without incident. During their search, they seized a vehicle containing ammunition and a replica firearm. They also seized fentanyl, cocaine, prescription painkillers, money, a handgun and drug paraphernalia. Feliciano is a fugitive from justice and has been charged with, among other things, fentanyl trafficking, conspiracy and weapons possession. He appeared before a judge and is being held without bail. Six of the people arrested are from southern Vermont. All but one of the Vermonters were cited and released to appear in court at a later date. Tia Woodin, of Bennington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Marble Valley Correctional Facility. A seventh person, Reina Sosa, is from New Britain, CT. Sosa has been arraigned and is being held on $10,000 bail.

Feliciano is a fugitive from justice and has been charged with fentanyl trafficking, conspiracy and weapons possession, among other drug and weapons charges. He appeared before a judge and is being held without bail.

Six of the people arrested are from southern Vermont. All but one of the Vermonters were cited and released to appear in court at a later date. Tia Woodin, of Bennington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and booked into the Marble Valley Correctional Facility.

A seventh person, Reina Sosa, is from New Britain, CT. Sosa has been arraigned and is being held on $10,000 bail.
