Durham Fair warns of concert ticket scams – NBC Connecticut

The Durham Fair opens today and fair organizers have warned of ticket fraud.

They said they have received reports of fraudulent companies attempting to sell tickets to Durham Fair concerts separately from your Durham Fair admission.

Tickets for the fair are sold through the official Durham Fair website, app or in person, and concerts are included with fair admission.

“We are actively working to report these scammers and prevent further incidents. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” reads a post on the Durham Fair Facebook page.

The Durham Fair opens Thursday at 4 p.m. The fireworks display was postponed until Friday evening due to rain forecast.

The fair takes place from September 26th to 29th.

ACM Award winner Chris Janson will perform on the main stage Friday at 7:30 p.m. and 38 Special will perform on the main stage at 7:30 p.m
