Eight people are hospitalized after the South Side crash, three are in critical condition: officials

CHICAGO – Eight people are hospitalized – three of them in critical condition – after an accident on the city's south side.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at 98th Street and Cottage Grove.

Details are limited, but the accident resulted in eight people being transported to four area hospitals. According to the Chicago Fire Department, three of the patients have life-threatening injuries while the others are in fair or serious condition.
