Police say two suspects were arrested, one on the run, after a drive-by near a convenience store in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – Two suspects were arrested after a drive-by shooting near the Big Boys supermarket on Dedeaux Road in Gulfport.

Jaevon Kenderick Weems and Jayquarius Anthony Keyes were arrested on charges of aggravated assault and drive-by shooting. Weems was arrested Tuesday evening and Keyes turned himself in to GPD Wednesday morning.

Kaleb Zaches Anderson remains wanted. Anderson is described as a 22-year-old black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

On Monday at approximately 3:56 p.m., Gulfport Police responded to a shooting in the 13000 block of Dedeaux Road.

Upon arrival, officers found over 20 shell casings in the parking lot and spoke with several witnesses.

After an investigation, it was determined that the victim and three suspects, Weems, Keyes and Anderson, got into an argument.

After purchasing items, the victim left the store. At that point, the suspects attempted to physically attack him, according to police.

The victim managed to get into his vehicle and leave the parking lot when, according to police, Keyes shot his vehicle multiple times, damaging the victim's vehicle as he exited the convenience store.

After the initial shots were fired, the suspects got into their vehicle and chased the victim, where they continued shooting at him before fleeing the area.

Anderson is considered armed and dangerous.
