Police discover murder victim in Hayes Township

GAYLORD — Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding a murder victim found at a Hayes Township residence.

According to the Otsego County Sheriff's Department, officers and Michigan State Police troopers were called to a residence in Hayes Township on Wednesday, September 25, where they found a 31-year-old Otsego County man deceased of an undetermined amount of time is time. A medical examiner was called in and determined the man was a murder victim.

No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. The sheriff's department believes this was an isolated incident.
