Is Publix open during Hurricane Helene?

Publix released a statement on social media regarding its store hours during Hurricane Helene.

ATLANTA – As Hurricane Helene makes landfall closer to the Florida coast and parts of the Sunshine State are even feeling the effects of storm surge, people want to know if their favorite grocery store will remain open.

Although located in affected areas of Helene, Publix said many of its stores will remain open to support customers during the storm, with some having modified hours.

“We continue to monitor Hurricane Helene and its impact on our communities. Our stores will remain open in affected areas as long as it is safe to do so. In areas where stores have closed, we are committed to reopening as quickly as possible to serve our communities,” Publix announced on its Facebook page.

Many of the stores along Florida's west coast and stores right near Helene on the Florida Panhandle have modified hours. However, there are still several stores in both areas that remain open during regular hours.
