Man and dog rescued from sailboat off the coast of Sanibel

The United Coast Guard Southeast Division rescued a person and their dog from a sailboat off the coast of Sanibel Island Thursday afternoon. The boat was reportedly found 20 miles off the coast of Sanibel Island around 3 p.m. According to the USCG, the person and their dog are safe.
