Motorcyclist seriously injured in accident with limousine on Geiger Grade

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) –8:50 p.m. UPDATE: A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Thursday after colliding with a sedan on Geiger Grade in the Virginia Foothills, Nevada State Police said.

Care Flight took the motorcyclist to the hospital. The limousine driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported away by an ambulance.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle was traveling too fast for the conditions and hit the sedan.

State police are investigating impairment by both drivers.

ORIGINAL STORY: Two people were injured, one of them seriously, in an accident between a motorcycle and a car in the Geiger class on Thursday.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. near Rim Rock Drive in the Virginia Foothills.

One person was rescued by an ambulance and another by a rescue helicopter.

Geiger Grade reopened at 8:35 p.m
