Two North Jersey men are accused of sexually abusing children

Two Bergen County men have been accused of sexually abusing children in separate incidents in North Jersey, investigators announced Thursday.

Jayden Maneiro, 24, of Garfield, was arrested after authorities said he sexually abused a child under the age of 13 in Garfield at an unspecified time in the past, according to a statement from the Bergen County District Attorney's Office.

He was taken into custody in Paramus and charged with second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and taken to the Bergen County Jail, the office said.

In a separate, unrelated incident, Junior Reyes-Tejada, 33, of Lodi, was also accused of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13 at an unspecified time in his city of residence, authorities said.

The investigation into the allegation began Wednesday after Lodi police contacted the district attorney's office.

Reyes-Tejada was arrested in Paramus and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by physical contact and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and was also taken to the Bergen County Jail, the office said.
