Two charged in connection with incident at Montgomery Boathouse Inn

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — Two people have been charged in connection with an alleged altercation that took place outside the Montgomery Inn Boathouse in June.

A grand jury has indicted Kyle Raleigh – the son of Tri-State meteorologist Steve Raleigh – and Troy Morrow, the son of the local couple involved in the incident.

FOX19 was told it all started with a small accident involving Lois and Douglas Morrow, as well as members of the Raleigh family.

Court documents say Kyle Raleigh “used deadly force” and “knowingly caused serious physical harm” to Lois and Douglas Morrow.

Kyle Raleigh is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated assault.

Raleigh's attorney Merlyn Shiverdecker issued a statement to FOX19 NOW.

“We are disappointed with the grand jury’s findings regarding Kyle Raleigh,” Shiverdecker said. “It is important to remember that these are only allegations and Kyle is presumed innocent. The grand jury accused Troy Morrow of being the instigator of the incident. We intend to vigorously defend these allegations in court and not in the media.”

Troy Morrow is charged with menacing.

On September 17, the special prosecutor assigned to the case announced that Steve Raleigh “will not be charged in connection with the incident.”

He said there was no evidence that Raleigh violated any criminal law.
