People's Choice Country Awards, ranking all performances

Many of country music's top talent were once again honored at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, which aired Thursday night (September 26) on NBC and Peacock. Shania Twain hosted the two-hour show, which took place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Morgan Wallen won the top honor of People's Artist (along with wins in three other categories) in the second year of the fan-voted People's Choice Country Awards, while other winners included Shaboozey 2024 New Artist of the Year Luke Combs, took home winners of 2024 Male Artist and 2024 Album (fathers and sons), Lainey Wilson was named 2024 Female Artist of the Year, Dasha was named Female Song of the Year, and the Post Malone/Wallen collaboration “I Had Some Help” was named 2024 Song of the Year. Cody Johnson's “Dirt Cheap” won one of the night's more unique categories, Storyteller Song.

Other highlights included honoring Miranda Lambert as a country icon for her decades of exemplary, heartfelt music and her diverse career as a singer, songwriter, entertainer, author and business leader. Lambert just released her latest album, Postcards from Texaswhich debuted in the top 10 billboardis the top country albums chart.

Kane Brown has been hailed as a country music champion for his work supporting younger generations. Brown is a longtime supporter of the Boys & Girls Club, and earlier this year he donated a new music studio to a Boys & Girls Club of America location in Texas. He was honored with the organization's Champion of Youth Award in 2022.

As with most awards shows, some of the most talked-about moments came from the list of performances. Each artist delivered a first-class performance, although inevitably some shined more than others.
