Man killed in Twin Span crash, bridge reopened

Interstate 10 eastbound has reopened following a fatal crash on the Twin Span Friday morning. According to investigators, just before 1 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle on fire on eastbound Interstate 10 near Ridgeway Boulevard. Responding officers said they found a vehicle at the scene. A single-vehicle collision occurred, confirming the death of a man. According to the New Orleans Police Department, St. Tammany Parish authorities have dispatched a boat to search the waters beneath the Twin Span for additional victims or evidence.
