School districts close as remnants of Tropical Storm Helene hit Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Helene is now a tropical storm after hitting Florida as a Category 4 hurricane Thursday evening, but its remnants can be felt across Middle Tennessee Friday morning.

Dozens of school districts are playing it safe and keeping students at home or dismissing them as early as Friday.
