Moundsville man arrested on assault charges | News, sports, jobs

According to Moundsville police, a Moundsville man was arrested for first-degree assault after an incident at his home early Friday morning.

According to an MPD news release, Jonathon Kimble, 48, was arrested after a confrontation with his 41-year-old friend. The confrontation ended with the friend suffering a gunshot wound, the statement said. Police records show Kimble and the victim listed their address as the location of the incident.

The victim was life-flighted to Morgantown and underwent surgery Friday morning at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital. He is expected to survive. Kimble is currently in the Northern Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond.
