Ugly bat fight between Kashif Muhammad and Nasir Ali goes viral; Here is a video

In the final of the MCC Weekdays Bash

In a video that quickly went viral, Ali celebrated a wicket and had some poignant words for Kashif. At first Kashif ignored the taunts, but when Ali persisted, he finally turned around to confront him.

What started as a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation with Kashif's batting partner, Aerovisa players and the umpires rushing in to separate the two.

In the video, Ali was seen grabbing Kashif's bat and trying to hit him. After the bat fell from his hand, Kashif picked it up and tried to hit Ali back while the other players struggled to control the duo.


According to Article 2.12 of the International Cricket Council's Code of Conduct, “any form of inappropriate physical contact in cricket is prohibited.” Without limitation, players will be in breach of this rule if they intentionally, recklessly and/or negligently run, bump or shoulder another player Referee.” It continues: “In assessing the seriousness of the violation, the following factors shall be taken into account (without limitation): (i) the context of the particular situation, including, without limitation, whether the contact was intentional (i.e. intentional); reckless, negligent and/or avoidable; (ii) the violence of contact; (iii) any resulting injury to the person with whom contact was made; “
