Man arrested after four-hour standoff in McCracken Co

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) – A man has been arrested after a four-hour standoff in western Kentucky.

Phillip Stout, 42, of Paducah, was arrested on one warrant for probation violation, two warrants for contempt of court and one felony bail jumping warrant. The underlying charges included trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in opiates, trafficking in marijuana and more.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, they learned on Thursday, September 26th that Stout was at a home in the 600 block of Mayfield Metropolis Road.

They say he barricaded himself in a room and threatened violence.

Multiple officers responded to the scene and attempted to communicate with him.

After a little more than four hours, he reportedly left the house peacefully and officers took him into custody.

The investigation is ongoing and criminal charges related to the standoff are likely.
