1 dead, 6 injured after crash on I-75 South – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – At least one person is dead and six others are injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 South near Howell Mill Road.

This was announced by the Georgia State Patrol Channel 2 action news that it responded to the seven-vehicle crash just after 1:30 p.m. Friday.

A GSP investigation determined that all cars were traveling on I-75 when traffic was rerouted around a stopped car, which then led to the multi-car crash.

A passenger in a Toyota who was struck in the accident was killed.

The deceased person could not be identified.

The six other injured people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The accident closed all southbound lanes of I-75 Friday evening.
