Undercover drug buys uncover major Honduran drug operation in Colorado

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – On Thursday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said two narcotics search warrants were served along with the Denver Police SWAT team.

The sheriff's office said its special investigations unit was involved in several undercover drug buys, which led to the arrest of several suspects.

The suspects were involved in a drug trafficking operation in Honduras where they delivered drugs to Arapahoe County. The sheriff's office said the suspects were charged with multiple drug offenses and were in federal ICE custody as of Friday afternoon.

The sheriff's office said one suspect was a felon who had previously been deported for drug distribution.

The sheriff's office said they seized one kilogram of meth, 13,000 fentanyl pills, $10,000 in cash, 63 grams of heroin, 60 grams of cocaine, 151 grams of fentanyl powder and 12 grams of mannitol.
