73-year-old man found dead after ATV accident in Warsaw on Friday

WARSAW, Ind. (WPTA) – The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is investigating a fatal ATV accident that occurred Friday afternoon in Warsaw.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department said deputies and EMS responded to reports of an ATV accident on the 1300 block of South Ferguson Road around 3:15 p.m

When they arrived at the scene, an all-terrain vehicle and a man were found partially submerged in a pond on the property.

A preliminary investigation revealed the ATV was traveling near the pond before entering it for an unknown reason.

The Kosciusko County Coroner's Office pronounced the man, identified as 73-year-old Thomas Bussell of Warsaw, dead at the scene.

The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS and the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office assisted the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
