Serious motorcycle accident on Rangeline, man had to be taken to hospital | Joplin News First

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) – At approximately 7:20 p.m. Friday, reports of a one-vehicle motorcycle accident alerted in the 1300 block of S Rangeline Joplin E-911.

Joplin Police, Joplin Fire Department and METS Ambulance responded. MoDOT Emergency Response arrived to assist with sign and traffic control.

On site we observe a cruiser-style motorcycle and a passenger car lying on the road.

A man on the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with priority, lights and sirens. The injury was described to us as a very serious broken leg.

During transport he was still awake and alert and chatting with EMS personnel.

The car could drive under its own power. The motorcycle was taken to a nearby parking lot.

Traffic through the accident area was affected for approximately 45 minutes.
